Fake News Blog

      Media is something that everyone uses and is exposed to. It has become an element that can be found in the daily lives of every individual. Media varies and can come in many types of forms. People use media for different kinds of reasons such as music, video games, and videos. However, media also has important values as well, such as keeping people informed with vital news and information. So recently I was able to ask four people questions about how they access the news. 

     The first person that I questioned was Person A who was over forty years old. Person A stated that their three main sources of news were the local tv news, news that came across his smartphone, and the news that he received from Google news. The next person that I questioned was Person B who was also over forty years old. Person B stated that their three main sources of news were local news, world news, and news apps. As you can see both people questioned who were in the same age group had similar ways of accessing the news. 

     The next person that I questioned was Person C who was a college student. Person C stated that their three main sources of news were local news, Twitter, and Google news. The next person that I questioned was Person D who was also a college student. Person D stated that their three main sources of news were local news, Facebook, and Browser News. The two college students' sources of news were closely similar in access as well.

     At the beginning of the smartphone and digital era people aged range from eighteen to people in their twenties were the ones most dominant in tech. Now, however, people aged much younger and much older already have gravitated more toward digital standards of media. As shown during my questioning, people who are forty and older rely on the means of media that are non-traditional. I noticed that all four people still considered watching the news on tv as one of their main sources of news. However, neither of the four relied on media such as newspapers, books, or other forms of traditional media. It seems that although there are still some essential forms of traditional media that are used to provide news media, digital media has become a relevant and current way of getting news fast and easily.
